In 2001, founder Tetsuya Kudo established MARUTAMA RA-MEN in Kawaguchi, Japan, fulfilling his dream of creating a ramen dish that people worldwide could enjoy. Inspired by chicken, a ubiquitous food in many cultures, Kudo created MARUTAMA RA-MEN's signature creamy chicken broth (toripai tan), which has since garnered a loyal following in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Canada, and Australia.
In 2007, its first Southeast Asian outlet was opened in Singapore, at The Central Shopping Mall located along Eu Tong Sen Street, introducing locals to the joys of creamy broth. The owner and head-chef of Marutama, Mr Kudo Tetsuya, oversees the operations in Singapore.
Today, MARUTAMA RA-MEN continues to expand, with a mission to bring its unique flavors and dishes to people from all backgrounds and cultures around the world.
