Mitsuba Japanese Restaurant is a beloved dining destination for locals and tourists alike, having opened its doors in May 2014.

The restaurant spans 5,350 square feet on level 3 of Clarke Quay Central and offers a range of settings to suit all occasions, from romantic evenings to corporate events and family dining.

Diners can choose from two options: the all-you-can-eat buffet or the premium buffet, both of which include signature Thick Cut sashimi and a wide selection of dishes not often found elsewhere.

Mitsuba prides itself on being the first Japanese restaurant in Singapore to introduce delivery robots, enabling its service crew to provide friendly, high-quality service to all diners.

William Chia, the founder of Mitsuba, is a retired banker and international Kikisake-Shi.

He founded the restaurant on the belief that everyone should be able to enjoy quality Japanese cuisine without burning a hole in their pocket.

Mitsuba is famous for its premium quality Thick Cut sashimi and sushi, and its wide selection of dishes in both the Ala-carte Buffet and Simply Ala-carte menus.

William's mantra, "只要功夫深,铁杵磨成针" (little strokes fell great oaks), which he acquired from cultivating bonsai as a hobby for over 30 years, guides the restaurant's approach to food and service.

John Chia, the restaurant director, has spent over two decades in sales and customer service.

He believes that delivering good food at affordable prices is essential, and that excellent service in a congenial setting enhances the dining experience.

He encourages the kitchen and service crews to take ownership and give feedback, which he listens to attentively and implements where appropriate.

John leads by example, often clearing tables or preparing sushi behind the counter.

Executive Chef Low Chee Hui, also known as 'Ah Hui', is a veteran chef who runs a tight kitchen.

He ensures that only the right ingredients are used, dishes are prepared in the right proportion, and with the right timing.

He designs new dishes to delight the taste buds, and accords the same attention to detail whether preparing Mitsuba's signature Ala-carte Buffet or a premium omakase experience.
