Boon Tong Kee's story began in 1979 when Mr. Thian Boon Hua established a small stall in Chinatown that served Cantonese chicken rice.
The popularity of his silky white sauce chicken rice and emphasis on quality service led him to rally his family members to open Boon Tong Kee's first restaurant on Balestier Road in 1983.
Within a year of operation, the restaurant gained critical acclaim and praise from industry experts and customers alike.
This led to the opening of multiple outlets in quick succession, including MacPherson Road, Whampoa West, River Valley Road, Cheong Chin Nam Road, and East Coast Road.
In 1999, the company expanded its operations to include "Zi Char" (home-style cooked food) and eateries.
From the traditional Balestier Road outlet to the upscale River Valley branch, Boon Tong Kee has captivated both Singaporeans and tourists with its scrumptious cuisine and welcoming staff.
