Jumain Sataysfaction is one of Singapore’s favourite food success stories.
In 1910, an immigrant from Java made a living and supported his family of fifteen, by peddling meat on skewers which is now known as satay.
He had to balance a basketful of satay and a pot of gravy on a pole carried on his shoulders while he made his way through the streets selling his delicious fare.
