Established since 2004, WhyMobile is a trusted retailer of new and used mobile phones in Singapore. It started in late 2003 when four mobile phone enthusiasts got together after being scammed at neighborhood retail stores. They were usually being quoted unbelievably low prices only to find that the phones sold to them had items removed, or were to be further subjected to sales taxes (GST). After having found out from IRAS that all GST registered traders are to display their GST registration number in tax invoices and quote GST-inclusive prices upfront, they were frustrated and decided to create an honest business of their own.
