Dining
Pullman Bakery was established in 1978 with the opening of Tachihara Bakery in Hokkaido, Japan.
Due to the popularity of our bread, a second bakery was opened the following year. In 1986, we relocated to Sapporo and rebranded as Pullman Bakery.
Our name was inspired by the square-shaped bread baked by the Pullman rail company in the late 19th century and our desire to attract customers and put smiles on their faces.
We take pride in using only the freshest ingredients, including locally grown flour, potatoes, and onions from Hokkaido.
Our buns are handmade with care and we always listen to our customers' feedback to stay on top of the latest trends and needs.
We experiment with new bread types and our popularity grew through word-of-mouth, culminating in our founder's winning of the "TV Champion" baking competition in Tokyo in 1995.
At Pullman Bakery, we use our own homemade yeast and unique recipes for each variety of bun, such as apple bread and curry bread.
Our aim is to create nutritious and soulful bread that is just as beloved as rice is to Japanese and Asian people.
We feel a great sense of satisfaction when we see our customers enjoy their first bite, and our commitment to their enjoyment and health remains at the forefront of our philosophy.
