With more than 200 outlets over the world, Da Long Yi Hotpot is an Authentic Sze Chuan Hotpot brand, which is famous for its mouth-watering spiciness and fragrance of their MaLa-soup-base as well as their unique and fresh ingredients.

Established in 2013, Da Long Yi opened its first outlet in Chengdu, the capital city of China’s Szechuan province. Since then, the brand has expanded globally, with around 210 franchised stores established in China, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Australia.

In 2018, Da Long Yi brought its globally-renowned flavours to Singapore with an outlet located at the heart of Orchard Road. The restaurant's elegant furnishings, including special decorations, lamps, tables, and chairs, are designed to provide an immersive dining experience that allows guests to appreciate the profoundness of Chinese hot pot culture.

Da Long Yi's comprehensive menu promises to leave customers spoilt for choice, offering dishes with varying levels of spiciness to cater to different palates. Although Szechuan dishes are known for their spiciness, the restaurant offers non-spicy options as well.

During a recent visit, I ordered a medium-spicy level and a non-spicy pig bone soup. The spicy soup was fragrant and suitable for the local palate, not overly spicy, with a savory and spicy taste. The bone soup was sweet and came with a large piece of bone, containing plenty of bone marrow.

The tender beef was fresh and suitably thick, while the well-seasoned chicken meat did not dry out during cooking. Our favourite dish is the fresh tripes, which were not chewy but crunchy.
