Among the beloved food stalls are Thye Hong Hokkien Mee, which dates back to Singapore's Glutton's Square in the 1970s, and Li Xin Teochew Fishball Noodles, which has been serving homemade fishballs since 1968.

Fans of beef noodles will recall the Scotts Hwa Heng Beef Noodles, which has its only surviving stall at Food Opera.
