Description

Established in May 2012, Our Music Studio (OMS) is dedicated to providing exceptional music-and-movement programs for young children in Singapore.

Founded by seven passionate ladies, who collectively possess an impressive 118 years of teaching experience in music and movement, OMS adopts a holistic approach inspired by the pedagogies of Orff Schulwerk, Emile Jacques Dalcroze, and Kodaly.

At OMS, many of our teachers are accomplished musicians, composers, and music arrangers who possess a deep passion for nurturing a love for music in young minds.

With over 300 original songs, including our beloved Hello and Goodbye songs, we create a vibrant and engaging environment where babies can forge strong bonds with their caregivers through vocal play, instrumental exploration, and creative movements—all within a colourful and hygienic setting.

Our music-and-movement programs cater to different age groups. Active Tots, for instance, offers a plethora of musically stimulating activities that enhance listening skills, pre-reading abilities, vocabulary, gross and fine motor skills, and overall musicianship.

Through this program, toddlers not only have a blast but also develop confidence, self-control, and effective communication skills.

For preschoolers, we employ an integrated arts approach, encouraging them to explore various aspects of music and movement through instrument play, drama, dance, games, and literature.

Instruments like the glockenspiel, xylophone, and ukulele are introduced, providing an enriching experience that fosters creativity and self-expression.

At OMS, we believe that music is a powerful tool for holistic development, and we are thrilled to guide young children on their joyful and disciplined musical learning journey.

Join us as we nurture a deep appreciation for the arts, cultivate talent, and prepare young minds for a lifelong pursuit of musical expression.
