The passion for Japanese cuisine led Chef Tan-San to start Hajime Tonkatsu & Ramen. Hajime is Japanese for “beginning” (初め) and also the short form for “Hajimemashite”, which means “Nice to meet you”. With a philosophy of going back to food’s beginning and a warm welcome to all patrons, Hajime is a dream 40 years in the making, by the First Tonkatsu Chef in Singapore.
