Description

Established in 1954, Tai Cheong Bakery was started by egg tart Master Au Yeung’s uncle, who later handed down the business to Au Yeung.

He then pioneered the cookie crust for egg tarts using skills picked up while working in western style kitchens.

Tai Cheong gained popularity with locals and foreigners alike, reaching its peak when Chris Patten (then governor of Hong Kong) started frequenting the original outlet at Lyndhurst Street.

In 2016, Tai Cheong opened its first outlet in Singapore, quickly gaining popularity with its freshly baked items and signature egg tarts.

Today, Tai Cheong continues to serve customers from all walks of life with an ever increasing range of innovative and traditional products.
