Lao Huo Tang was established in 2008 at the Hawker Centre, offering traditional Chinese soups made from fresh vegetables and lean meat or pork ribs.

The soups are gently tonic and flavored only with natural ingredients, making them naturally low in fat, calories, and sodium. Notably, traditional Chinese soups never use oil, cream, or butter.

In 2011, Lao Huo Tang expanded into the restaurant business to provide more traditional dishes, as the limited space at the Hawker Centre hindered their creativity. Their objective was to offer nourishing Cantonese-style soups and home-cooked food to customers.

Today, Lao Huo Tang is known for their nourishing Cantonese-style soups and traditional home-cooked cuisines, and they plan to continue creating affordable, nourishing soup and expanding their restaurant locations to reach more customers.
